Amazon Fulfillment Center

#

As online shopping has evolved and become more popular, Seattle-based Amazon decided to construct a new distribution center in the region.  The new distribution center means more items will be available for two-day delivery under the retailer’s Prime membership, and eventually the company could offer same day delivery in an effort to get items to customers’ doorsteps faster.  The facility employs 1000+ full time positions who will work alongside 100’s of robots.  The project consisted of the construction of a new 2.3M SF dry goods warehouse that services online orders in the Midwest.
