EVENTS
In addition to numerous continuing education programs, MCC hosts two scholarship fundraisers each year – a golf outing in August and a sporting clays event in September. When opportunities arise, MCC also sponsors tours of different projects or manufacturing facilities related to cast-in-place concrete. MCC will also occasionally host other networking events throughout the year.
Please see the calendar for all upcoming continuing education programs and events. For questions about events, please contact MCC’s Administrator, Margaret Mills.

MCC hosts many networking events, including but not limited to the annual golf outing and the annual Big Shoot sporting clays event - both of which benefit the MCC scholarship fund. One of the most unique aspects of membership in MCC is access to its very diverse membership base. MCC events provide incredible networking opportunities to its members and their guests.

WEBINAR - #ConcreteTough: Are You Tough Enough?
Learn more243 WEBINAR - #ConcreteTough: Are You Tough Enough? 2021-03-03 13:30:00 2021-03-03 14:30:00 #f57921Concrete is the foundation for everything we build. Concrete is an integral part of homes, businesses, schools, offices, churches, roads, and bridges. The concrete industry is in need of people who aren't afraid of hard work. A career in the concrete industry not only pays well but gives individuals the chance to build something that will stand the test of time. Right now, there is a growing need for concrete contractors, equipment operators, ready mix concrete truck drivers and quality control personnel. #ConcreteTough is a Nebraska based workforce recruitment campaign that exposes youth to the concrete construction industry. This message is communicated through participating in various career fairs, concrete 101 programs, and presented to numerous schools on the different careers the concrete Industry offers. Attendees will learn ways that they can incorporate concrete career awareness into their own workforce recruitment efforts.
A short overview of the new Concrete Industry Management degree at South Dakota State University will also be included with this webinar.
This webinar was developed cooperatively by concrete-related associations from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The goal of the cooperative effort is to bring a greater awareness of cast-in-place concrete to the design and construction communities via quality continuing education programs.
