Breakfast Meeting: Tomorrow's Schools - Building the Future with Strength

Tomorrow's Schools - Building the Future with Strength (A Case Study of the Menahga School Addition from the School District, Architect and Contractor) will feature Kevin Wellen (Superintendent at Menahga Public Schools), Steve Skoblik, AIA (Foss Architecture & Interiors) and Chad Regnier (Concrete, Inc.)

Construction is currently underway for the 85,000 sf addition to the Menahga School in Menahga, MN. Scheduled to open for the 2019-20 school season, this building is utilizing Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) for the exterior wall system. Participants will learn why ICF’s were chosen, how the building was designed and the methods of construction. 

Registration opens at 7:00 am.  A full hot breakfast buffet will be served beginning at 7:15 am.  The presentation will begin at 8:00 am and will conclude by 9:00 am.

Cost for members to attend breakfast meetings is $25 ($20 early bird). The non-member rate is $35 ($30 early bird). PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Walk-ins may be turned away.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Attendees will be awarded a certificate of attendance for one hour. MCC is an AIA CES registered provider. In some cases, AIA credits will also be available.
