Breakfast Meeting: Petrography - What it Can and Can't Tell You

"Petrography - What it Can and Can't Tell You" will be presented be Gerard Moulzolf, P.G. (American Engineering Testing).

Concrete petrography can be a useful tool to gain an understanding of the performance of concrete and other cement-based construction materials. Cracks. Blisters. Spalling. Scaling. Delamination. Low Strength. These are sources of dissatisfaction for owners and aggravation for contractors involved in concrete construction. Because petrography is often used to investigate the causes of these problems, you should understand how petrography works and what its capabilities and limitations are. This seminar will discuss the basics of concrete petrography and show how it can be used in troubleshooting concrete construction.

Registration opens at 7:00 am.  A full hot breakfast buffet will be served beginning at 7:15 am.  The presentation will begin at 8:00 am and will conclude by 9:00 am.
