"As-Cast Concrete Surface Finishes: Specifications, Defects and Repairs" will be presented by Kim Basham, Ph.D., P.E., FACI (KB Engineering, LLC).  In this presentation, hear about common specified requirements for as-cast concrete, architectural, smooth-rubbed and grout-cleaned surface finishes.   Learn about as-cast surface defects and anomalies including honeycomb, air voids or bug holes, sand streaking, offsets, and more.  Dr. Basham will also discuss: how to avoid and minimize surface defects and anomalies, expectations, repairs and ACI 347.3R-13 Guide to Formed Concrete Surfaces.
