Sustainable Structures Webinar Series Logo Portrait (3)_opt(2).pngThis presentation is part of the Sustainable Structures Webinar Series.  The Sustainable Structures Webinar Series was developed cooperatively by cast-in-place and precast concrete associations from the Midwest region of the United States including Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.  The goal of the cooperative effort is to bring a greater awareness of the sustainable and resilient nature of concrete building systems to the design, construction, and development communities via quality continuing education programs.

This presentation will give a brief basic overview of insulating concrete forms (ICFs) and precast concrete.  The presenters will answer the following questions:  What are ICFs and what is precast concrete? What are the benefits of each system?  How is each installed/erected?  What types of buildings are constructed from precast concrete and ICFs?

Presenters: Micah Garrett (Chair of the ICFMA Education Committee, and COO of BuildBlock Building Systems) and Randy Wilson (Director, Architectural Precast Systems at PCI)
